Take care of your tires, Kiefer Auto Group says

Kiefer Auto Group is reminding drivers that neglecting their vehicle’s tires can be dangerous and costly in a release on its website.

Keeping tires in tip-top shape will save car owners money and ensure safety.

To maintain good tires, drivers should always keep them properly inflated, the release said. Tires that have the right amount of air in them helps cars use less fuel as well as improve safety. This is because properly inflated tires are less likely to suffer a blowout. Every time a driver stops for gas, they should check the air in the  tires.

Drivers should also get their tires rotated. Tires wear out unevenly depending on where they are on the car. Having them rotated regularly helps even out the wear and also makes them last longer, the release said. Drivers should have their tires rotated at every or every other oil change.
