Kiefer Kia reminds car owners to wash, wax vehicles

Kiefer Kia of Eugene, Oregon, is reminding car owners that it's important to wash and wax vehicles to protect them from the elements.

While washing helps remove debris, wax afterwards helps protect the vehicle's paint from dirt and debris buildup, Kiefer Kia said in a blog posting.

Living or driving near the Pacific Coast could mean saltwater spray gets on the vehicle. Salt is worse for a car than standard dirt and pollution, as it can cause rust. Over time, rust can completely destroy a car body.

Washing the vehicle on a schedule, such as every two weeks, will help protect the vehicle while keeping it looking its best.
