Toyota Motor North America Inc. (TMNA) recently honored Adient, a supplier of automotive seats, with a Supplier Diversity Excellence award.
Adient received the award at the TMNA's annual supplier business meeting in Detroit, Adient said in an April 11 release.
"We're honored to be recognized by Toyota Motor for our efforts in supplier diversity," David Shuart, vice president of Asia Customers at Adient, said in the release. "All of us at Adient recognize the significance of this award and we believe this further demonstrates our commitment to providing excellent products and customer satisfaction."
TMNA's supplier business meeting allows TMNA to discuss business goals with suppliers to help prepare for upcoming projects. Every year, TMNA honors suppliers that exceed expectations.
"Toyota collaborates with each of our supplier partners in order to build vehicles with the high safety, quality and reliability standards to meet and exceed our customer's expectation," Robert Young, group vice president for one of Toyota's purchasing and supplier departments, said in the release. "We are pleased to recognize those in our supply base who exceed our high performance targets. We thank them and their team members for their tremendous support, partnership and commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration to build 'ever better cars' in North America."
