Volkswagen's new Arteon Gran Turismo made its debut at the recent Geneva International Motor Show, a release posted on Ancira Volkswagen of San Antonio's website said.

“The Arteon combines the design elements of a classic sports car with the elegance and space of a fastback. It’s an avant-garde business-class Gran Turismo that speaks to the heart and head alike,” Klaus Bischoff, Volkswagen's head designer, said in the release.

All Arteon models come standard with aluminum alloy wheels and keyless access. Interiors have stainless-steel door kickplates, six-way adjustable front seats, a media system with USB port and eight speakers, plus an electronically controlled air conditioner, the release said.

“The athletic lines of the Arteon embody a highly functional overall concept. Form and function find common ground here in a progressive way. Thanks to its long wheelbase, stretched roof line, coupe-style fastback design and large rear hatch, this Gran Turismo provides more space and flexibility than conventional sedans,” Tobias Suhlmann, who designed the exterior, said in the release.
