CarMax opens Mobile location, supports local charities

CarMax Inc. has opened a new store in Mobile, Alabama, and has donated funds to area charities to help those in need in the area.

The new CarMax at 965 East I-65 Service Road South has room to stock 200 used vehicles. Customers may also request transfers of cars they seek from other CarMax locations to the Mobile site.

CarMax donated $2,500 to Feeding the Gulf Coast to provide more than 12,000 meals to the underprivileged in the Central Gulf Coast region. The CarMax Foundation is also donating $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama to boost its Project Learn Educational Enhancement Program.

“CarMax associates care deeply about the communities where we live and work and make it a priority to give back,” Jason Colbert, location general manager at CarMax Mobile, said in a company announcement. “This is the first CarMax location in the Mobile area and we look forward to providing local customers with CarMax’s easy buying experience and no-haggle pricing.”
