American race car driver Josef Newgarden won his second race in a row of the 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.

Driving the Team Penske Chevrolet, Newgarden took 38 laps leading Roman Grosjean to the finish line by 1.28. According to the Grand Prix of Long Beach (GPLB), Alex Palou finished the race in third.

Newgarden's win was his first in Long Beach and the 21st of his career, according to GPLB.

The top 10 racers included Will Power, Pato O’Ward, Scott Dixon, Graham Rahal, Alexander Rossi, Helio Castroneves and Kyle Kirkwood, per GPLB. Colton Herta, the defending Long Beach champion, led for 28 laps before hitting the Turn 8 wall. He had 29 laps left to go in the race, according to GPLB.
